As November is reaching us I thought Id share a re-cap of what happened at the last Tea Guild of Canada meeting last month. What a great day it was, still warm but with a light coolness that made you welcome a cup of tea (right?).

We were invited to meet at the Gardiner Museum for a tour. It was a great  to see old friends. Shortly after the meeting started we were informed that they were now officially partnered with the Gardiner Museum. This news put a smile on everyones face with the thought of having the chance to have more events with in the space.

As a group (and after a bit of tea) we were lead to the rest of the gallery for a tour. The topic was on Ceramics History of Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate. It was a fun talk with all of us Tea-Fans together, as we discussed how history developed because of tea (Opium War was over tea by the way).

Most of the pieces in the museum are actually part of the founders own collection in the space. This one particularly was bought for Mr.Gardiner's wife as a surprise.
Over all it was a great evening that left me impatiently waiting for the next meet up. As it is in November I will not have long to wait now but still its a way off (November 20th). Till then drink on and perhaps I will see you there at the next meeting for the AGM.

The Tea Guild of Canada has regular meeting throughout the year in Toronto. Additional chapters being added are part current of discussions with the board. The guild is a place for tea lovers, Tea Sommeliers, students and tea professionals to come together under a single passion for tea. At the meetings we learn something new about various aspects of the beverage and its culture.
